Job summary

PNC is seeking a Quality Engineer Lead (Python/JAVA) within the Lending Technology Centralized organization. This role is based in Pittsburgh, Strongsville, Birmingham or Dallas.

You will lead the development and review of test strategies, guide junior engineers, and drive automation and modern testing practices across cross-functional teams. A Bachelor's degree and several years of testing leadership experience are required; base salary ranges with incentive eligibility are described in the Pay

Qualifications

• Quality Engineer Lead with strong expertise in designing, developing, and delivering scalable, high-quality testing solutions.
• Proven ability to lead engineering teams, provide technical direction, and drive best practices across the testing lifecycle.
• Skilled in making architectural decisions and implementing modern technologies and automation frameworks.
• Experienced in managing end-to-end project delivery, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and aligning technical solutions with business goals.
• Committed to continuous improvement, innovation, and building high-performing quality engineering teams.
• Provide strategic direction for testing and serve as a subject matter expert for both the quality discipline and supported line of business domain(s).

Responsibilities

• Lead test strategy and plan development aligned with project goals.
• Guide junior team members on testing needs.
• Identify resource and environment gaps; escalate issues.
• Monitor risks and defects; ensure ECO standards.
• Deliver test summary reports for leaders and stakeholders.
• Collaborate across teams and participate in Quality Engineer CoP meetings.
