Job summary

Kyndryl is seeking a Lead, Software Engineering Quality Assurance to define test strategies and automate test suites for cloud-based managed services. You will collaborate with multiple engineering squads to ensure end-to-end quality before releases.

You will mentor QA engineers, drive testing best practices, and communicate issues effectively to developers to enable fast fixes. A growth mindset and customer-focused approach are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience testing complex software products in agile environments.
• Deep understanding of QA processes, standards, tools and technologies.
• Experience with testing and delivering complex features for web-based enterprise apps and automating UI, CLI, and API testing.
• Proficiency in at least one or two open-source automation tools and frameworks.
• Understanding of the full software development life cycle.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborative communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Define test strategies, specifications, test cases, and test plans based on design documentation and specifications.
• Collaborate with other engineering squads to develop new features and ensure tested releases.
• Automate test cases to build test suites for regression, scalability, and performance testing.
• Analyze, track, and verify defects during the software development lifecycle; design and implement test tools and scripts.
• Lead quality engineering discussions and mentor other QA Engineers in debugging and planning.
• Clearly document and communicate issues to developers to facilitate fixes.
