Job summary

Genesis seeks a senior engineer to lead Quadrants development, owning the API, IR lowering, optimization, and core primitives. You will steer the evolution of the Python interface, the underlying computation graph, and performance-focused backends with a bias toward readability and maintainability.

You will work across Genesis to push performance improvements, maintain coherence as the system grows, and balance usability with powerful low-level capabilities, including inline assembly or PTX

Qualifications

• Experience with API design and compiler internals
• Strong background in performance optimization and systems design

Responsibilities

• Own API & authoring experience: craft ergonomic Python-facing interfaces and stable constraints.
• Own IR, lowering & backends: ensure a stable IR and backend targets with differentiable simulation future.
• Own Optimization: turn naive code into fast execution plans, optimize memory and synchronization.
• Own Primitives: manage cores like Cholesky, eigendecomposition, matmul, reductions, kernel benchmarks.
• Watching Genesis and the compiler together: identify performance wins in both and reduce duplication.
• The project as a product: benchmark workloads, track performance, stay close to users and drive adoption.
