Job summary

Andersons Septic Service is seeking a Pump Truck Technician in Fairfield County, CT. You will operate a vacuum septic truck, locate tanks, and communicate clearly with customers while potentially leading a small crew.

Ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting are required. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of truck driving with septic pumping experience; a Class B CDL and tanker endorsement are required, plus a DOT medical card and clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Experience: Septic pumping experience preferred and 3+ years of truck driving (more is preferred).
• License: Class B CDL minimum.
• Endorsements: Tanker endorsement required.
• DOT Medical Card and clean driving record required.
• Bonus: Septic tank cleaning license a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate a vacuum septic truck to inspect, pump, and service septic tanks.
• Locate and uncover septic tanks efficiently and safely.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with customers and team members.
• Manage your own small crew (as a foreman for a laborer).
• Perform routine maintenance and basic care on pump trucks.
• Troubleshoot and identify potential issues in septic systems.
