Qualifications

• Graduation from high school supplemented by college-level course work in computer science or a related field.
• Two years of experience operating digital reproduction equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and train staff on high-speed digital reprographic and peripheral equipment to meet printing needs and timelines.
• Lead a small crew; monitor jobs; ensure proper paper weights, sizes, and ink specifications.
• Operate finishing equipment (collator, drill, scanner, cutter, folder, stitcher, coil binder, digital printer) and use online ordering system and software.
• Communicate with District staff and outside agencies to resolve orders, deliveries, specifications, issues.
• Review work for reproduction; proofread; prepare copiers for extended production runs; monitor during duplication; perform quality control.
• Prepare work for printing using standard text and graphics software.
• Clean and maintain equipment; oil and perform minor repairs; maintain inventory; requisition supplies.
• Prepare records and reports related to printing data, deliveries, supplies, production, revenue, requests.
• Perform clerical/technical duties; compile data; maintain filing; sort mail.
• Provide work direction and assist Publications Department staff with projects.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
