Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for the Public Cloud Foundational Services to design, build, and deliver secure, scalable cloud platform solutions. You will drive multi-cluster, multi-region deployments, enforce platform guardrails, and empower developers with robust tooling and automation.

The role emphasizes kubernetes-native services, CRDs, and Terraform-based provider development, with a focus on secure, compliant cloud infrastructure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years of hands-on experience.
• Strong hands-on Kubernetes with CRDs, operators, reconciliation, and RBAC.
• Proficiency in Go and production-grade services; cloud AWS experience (EKS, IAM, STS).

Responsibilities

• Own and enhance Kubernetes CRDs and Go controllers across clusters and cloud accounts.
• Design admission controls and webhooks to enforce platform standards.
• Develop secure cross-cluster provisioning, identity federation, and IRSA-based access models.
• Advance developer platform with Terraform providers, APIs, and IaC tooling.
• Lead multi-region deployments with GitOps and CI/CD automation.
• Drive scalable design, automated testing, and security reviews across the platform.
