Job summary

Sheppard Pratt is seeking a Psychiatrist for its Psychiatric Urgent Care (PUC) at the Elkridge and Towson campuses. The role centers on immediate psychiatric triage, evaluations, and determining the appropriate level of care, including hospitalization when needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of a residency training program.
• Board Certification in Psychiatry and active Maryland medical license.
• Possession of a Maryland Controlled Substances Registration and a valid DEA Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including mental status examinations and diagnostic summaries.
• Formulate initial diagnoses and determine appropriate level of care, including hospitalization if needed.
• Provide clinical leadership to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency of fast-tracked triage and transitions to inpatient units or other care settings.
