Job summary

Sheppard Pratt in Towson, MD is seeking an Urgent Care clinician to provide comprehensive behavioral health assessments, crisis intervention, and disposition planning for individuals presenting with urgent psychiatric and substance use concerns. This role requires strong clinical judgment and collaboration with psychiatrists and an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced, physician-led environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited program.
• Active Maryland licensure as LGPC, LMSW, LCSW-C or LCPC.
• Experience in emergency services, crisis intervention, psychiatric hospital, urgent care, or behavioral health settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and risk assessments.
• Determine levels of care and make treatment and disposition recommendations.
• Review medical records, collateral information, and prescription monitoring data to support decisions.
• Facilitate referrals and transitions of care for continuity of services.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
