Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH is seeking a full-time nurse supervisor for days shift (7:00am–3:30pm), 0.9 FTE (36 hours weekly) with a Monday–Friday schedule and alternating weeks. Base rate starts at $39.90 per hour; benefits eligible.

The role directs a shift, ensures staffing, and champions patient advocacy and quality care in line with the ANA Code of Ethics. A BSN, Ohio license, and BLS are required; two years of nursing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Current Ohio nursing license.
• BLS certification required.
• Two years nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the activities of a shift, directing, organizing, and assigning work.
• Ensure adequate supplies, equipment and staff utilization.
• Serve as an EPIC Super User and support system use.
• Assess, monitor, and support employees throughout the shift.
• Facilitate direct patient care through coaching and delegation.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and patient safety as a priority.
