Job summary

Saint Elizabeths Hospital in Washington, DC seeks a registered nurse to provide comprehensive psychiatric inpatient care within the Department of Nursing. You will participate with the interdisciplinary team to formulate, implement, and evaluate treatment plans, and administer medications and treatments.

You may also provide face-to-face counseling to individuals, groups, or families, lead therapy groups, and guide nursing staff in complex interventions while rotating shifts including weekends

Qualifications

• One year of specialized professional nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• Experience in psychiatric nursing is preferred.
• Current RN license in DC or eligibility to obtain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide full range of nursing care to psychiatric patients in inpatient setting.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Lead and co-lead therapeutic groups to support patient recovery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and revise treatment plans.
• Provide counseling as needed to individuals, groups, or families.
