Job summary

Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services seeks a Lead Psychiatric Care Technician to facilitate structured and unstructured activities within active treatment programming. Job Duties The Psychiatric Technician II is responsible to facilitate individual and group programs through planned, spontaneous, structured and unstructured activities that are provided consistent with overall active treatment programming as well as consistent with the individual patient’s comprehensive treatment plan and nursing care plan. In addition, this position provides leadership, teaching and role modeling to other Direct Service Associate II who function under the working title of Psychiatric Technician I and performs direct nursing care duties. The position functions under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older.

  • Prior health care setting experience delivering patient care.
  • Prior work experience providing customer service.
  • A 2 or 4 year degree in health sciences
  • Valid drivers license
