Job summary

Cascade Process Controls in Hobbs, NM is hiring a PRV Valve Technician to work with the Valve Operations Coordinator in testing, inspecting, and repairing spring and pilot operated relief valves. You will follow manufacturer manuals and critical dimensions for repairs and ensure compliance with NBIC and VR procedures.

This role requires at least 2 years in valve repair, the ability to read manuals, and strong communication with non-technical staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in valve repair, testing, reconditioning or modification.
• Lead role experience preferred.
• Ability to read manufacturer manuals and critical dimensions.
• Understanding of ASME, NBIC regulations.
• Strong communication with non-technical personnel.

Responsibilities

• Mentor technicians in PSV work onsite and in the shop.
• Perform field work and demonstrate valve repair procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of ASME, NBIC, API codes.
• Teach apprentice-level employees to become leads.
• Test and repair spring-operated and pilot-operated relief valves.
• Service valves per customer specifications.
• Order parts for upcoming work.
• Lead safety trainings and safety meetings.
• Ensure paperwork and reports are complete for invoicing.
• Participate in safety programs and company policies.
