JCB North America in Savannah, GA is seeking an experienced Principal Propulsion Systems Engineer to lead the design and integration of propulsion systems for heavy equipment, driving performance and reliability.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will mentor engineers, conduct system-level simulations, review component specifications, collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and controls teams, and ensure compliance with industry standards throughout prototype and production stages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering.
• 7+ years of propulsion systems engineering experience in off-highway or heavy equipment industries.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as Unigraphics NX.
• Experience with system simulation tools (AMESim, MATLAB/Simulink, Automation Studio).
• Familiarity with Teamcenter Engineering and engineering data management systems.

Responsabilités

• Lead the design and development of propulsion systems for heavy machinery and equipment.
• Create and review component specifications and system layouts.
• Perform system-level analyses and simulations for performance, reliability, and safety.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers.
• Oversee integration and testing in prototype and production environments.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal guidelines.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical leadership.
