Job summary

True Anomaly seeks a Senior/Staff Propulsion and Fluids Production Engineer near Long Beach, CA. You will own production engineering strategy and execution for propulsion and fluids hardware across spacecraft programs, building scalable manufacturing processes and leading a growing team.

You will collaborate with design engineers to drive manufacturability from concept to high-rate production, mentor engineers, and support on-site manufacturing in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, manufacturing, or related technical discipline.
• Experience in manufacturing engineering for aerospace, defense, or high-reliability systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with ability to influence design decisions.
• Hands-on propulsion or fluid system fabrication, assembly, and testing.
• Experience with PLM, CAD, MES, configuration and data management controls.
• Experience with AS9100 process and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of propulsion and fluids production engineers.
• Own the production engineering strategy and execution for propulsion and fluids components and systems.
• Drive technical reviews with design engineering to ensure manufacturability.
• Set up and scale manufacturing factory capabilities for developmental programs and rate production.
• Develop technical documentation and work instructions for fabrication, assembly, integration, and test.
• Directly support production on the floor addressing bottlenecks and non-conformances.
• Drive continuous improvements and corrective actions using production metrics.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain on vendor qualification and make/buy strategies.
• Oversee calibration and certification of fluids and propulsion ground support equipment.
