Air Products, a global leader in industrial gases, seeks a Lead Project Technician to manage SAP-based capital projects from Gonzales, LA. You will create SAP projects, route CPPs, monitor approvals, prepare cost reports, and coordinate with engineers and accounting to keep initiatives on track.

Responsibilities

• Create assigned SAP projects, route Capital Project Requests and monitor for approval
• Submit Capitalizations on monthly WIP report and provide status updates
• Submit Capital Asset Disposal Requests and monitor for approval
• Create capital project cost reports and close SAP project structures
• Support project accounting and accounts payable to update projects
• Maintain active list of sites with Cost Centers and Contract end dates
• Provide training on SAP tools as needed
• Promote teamwork and professional conduct

Provide status update for project engineers and gatekeeping report* Submit Capital Asset Disposal Requests and monitor for approval* Create capital project cost reports as directed* Close SAP project structures as directed* Act on reports from project accounting and accounts payable to update projects and resolve issues.* Maintain an active list of sites with Cost Centers, Profit Centers, contract end dates, and DOAs for EGC region.* SAP Power User for Project Systems* Designate new worker SAP roles.* Support users with complex questions and issues that may arise.* Provide training as needed to new and existing resources within the group.* Works professionally and harmoniously with co-workers, supervisors, management, support personnel, program participants, and business-related persons* Applies positive and constructive attitude toward resolution of problems and conflicts* Accepts direction, feedback, and supervision* Demonstrates ability to remain calm in demanding situations* Ability to work within and promote a teamwork philosophy* Makes good use of time, completing assigned tasks in a timely manner* Ability to demonstrate and perform efficiently and reliably all categories of this document.* Able to achieve various State mandated certifications (TWIC, OSHA, etc.) and other requirements as may be deemed necessary.* Pass Criminal background investigation.
