Job summary

The Beaver Excavating Co. is seeking a Project Manager/Estimator to lead the planning and execution of assigned projects, working closely with engineers, owners, and construction managers. You will mentor project staff and drive successful delivery on time and within budget while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will coordinate with Superintendents and Foremen, manage budgets and schedules, and pursue value engineering opportunities to improve project outcomes for clients.

Qualifications

• Ability to demonstrate an understanding of industry practices and the impacts of project activities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Participates in ensuring job site safety per Beaver policies.
• Leads pre-job, mid-job, and post-job meetings.
• Communicates production goals to field supervision.
• Manages multiple projects simultaneously.
• Develops and communicates project schedules.
• Monitors subcontractors and suppliers to field staff.
• Prepares subcontracts and purchase orders on time.
• Mentors subcontractors to meet project goals.
• Informs owners regarding budgets, schedules, and change management.
• Leads project reviews and resolves issues with owners and subcontractors.
• Coordinates project close-out and documentation.
• Maintains quality and conformance to drawings and specs.
• Seeks to meet DBE, MBE, and EEO requirements.
• Assists in value engineering opportunities.
