Job summary

Walbridge is seeking a Project Manager to lead large-scale equipment installations for commercial manufacturing clients across automotive, metals, and industrial sectors. The role manages self-perform projects from $1M to $50M with full lifecycle delivery, including planning, budgeting, and team leadership.

You can be located anywhere in the US with a strong willingness to travel to project sites on long-term assignments (70%+).

Qualifications

• 7+ years manufacturing process equipment installation experience.
• 3+ years of management experience for equipment installation.
• Experience managing self-perform industrial projects (≥$1MM).
• Experience leading project teams from contract award to close-out.
• US driver’s license and valid passport; travel 70%+.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and manage scope changes, scheduling, procurement, construction oversight, safety, and progress monitoring.
• Track progress with metrics and adjust plans to meet evolving requirements.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory compliance.
• Identify opportunities to optimize processes and adopt new technologies.
• Oversee construction to ensure design, budget, and schedule alignment.
• Lead crews and subcontractors; support planning, scheduling, logistics, and engineering.
• Manage contract requirements, oversee changes, and approve documentation.
• Serve as primary client, subcontractor, and stakeholder contact for smooth execution.
• Ensure compliance with policies and maintain accurate project records.
• Assist with union jurisdiction disputes and negotiations when applicable.
• Support safety program implementation and risk management.
