Job summary

Engtal in Madison, WI is seeking a Project Manager to take ownership of large commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will lead schedules, budgets, and procurement while coordinating with clients, architects, engineers, and field teams to keep projects on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate has proven PM experience with a general contractor, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills to mentor junior staff and maintain client relationships

Qualifications

• Minimum several years of experience leading commercial construction projects.
• Proven track record as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager with a general contractor.
• Ability to independently manage projects from start to finish.
• Strong scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor management, and construction operations knowledge.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Experience managing large-scale and complex projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Manage budgets, schedules, contracts, and overall financial performance.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams.
• Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, and project documentation.
• Work closely with Superintendents to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
• Manage and mentor Project Managers, APMs, and Project Engineers and maintain strong client relationships.
