Job summary

General Dynamics - IT seeks an experienced Lead Project Manager to support the Department of Homeland Security Headquarters on the St. Elizabeths Technology Services (SETS) program.

The role requires technical expertise, leadership, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality project solutions in alignment with customer needs and program objectives. Responsibilities include coordinating with engineers, performing planning and execution, monitoring risk, and ensuring documentation quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years managing technical design/build or construction projects.
• Background in technology systems with ability to translate technical solutions.
• Experience reviewing technical engineering designs and managing costs and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead project management staff across initiation, design, implementation, and closeout.
• Develop estimates, schedules, and technical documentation using MS Project, Excel, and Word.
• Oversee budgets, procurement, and labor planning with remote teams.
• Maintain status reports, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate quality assurance, site visits, and transition of as-built docs to Operations.
