Job summary

Alair Homes Green Bay is seeking a Project Manager to own and guide complex custom home and renovation projects from planning through completion. You will align homeowners, trade partners, and teammates, ensuring clear communication, rigorous budgeting, and timely decision-making.

Qualifications

• Experience within residential construction, remodeling, or a related construction environment.
• Demonstrated construction aptitude and the ability to continue building technical knowledge quickly.
• Experience managing projects, budgets, schedules, deadlines, and multiple competing priorities.
• Experience working with bids, costs, invoices, spreadsheets, or similar project financial information.
• Strong client/customer communication and relationship-building skills across a variety of personalities and communication methods.
• Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, organization, and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ownership, follow-through, and the ability to create urgency and accountability while working collaboratively with others.

Responsibilities

• Lead custom home and renovation projects from planning through construction and closeout.
• Serve as the homeowner's trusted guide, communicating clearly, managing expectations, helping clients make informed decisions, and navigating difficult conversations when needed.
• Communicate effectively in person, by phone, email, and text with homeowners, trade partners, designers, suppliers, Site Supervisors, and teammates.
• Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and execution plans.
• Own the project budget, including comparing bids, tracking costs and commitments, monitoring changes, reviewing invoices, and keeping project numbers current.
• Anticipate upcoming needs, decisions, dependencies, and potential roadblocks before they affect the project.
• Coordinate the people involved in the project, creating clarity around priorities, responsibilities, and next steps.
• Make timely decisions, solve problems, and rally the team to keep commitments and work moving forward.
• Maintain high standards for quality, details, documentation, and follow-through.
• Communicate professionally.
• Lead the project through a strong closeout and successful homeowner experience.
