A Confidential Food Manufacturer in Ashland, KY is seeking an experienced Project Engineering Manager to lead complex capital and engineering projects in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

This role requires 5+ years engineering experience and 2+ years in leadership, with strong project management and contract administration skills. You will oversee designs, budgets, schedules, contractors, and ensure compliance with engineering standards; travel up to 50% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of engineering experience and 2+ years of leadership experience.
• Strong project management and contract administration skills.
• AutoCAD and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Knowledge of construction scheduling and engineering codes.
• Multi-million-dollar project experience.
• Food processing or meat industry experience is an asset.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale engineering and capital projects from concept through completion
• Develop engineering designs, specifications, budgets, and cost estimates
• Conduct feasibility studies and engineering reviews
• Coordinate plant personnel, contractors, vendors, and consultants
• Manage schedules, contracts, bid packages, and project documentation
• Review field work, validate installations, and prepare as-built drawings
• Monitor budgets, project status, and compliance with engineering standards
