Job summary

Sierra Space is seeking a Project Engineer III to lead and execute technical projects, ensuring seamless integration of engineering solutions. You will guide cross-functional teams, manage design, development, and implementation, and balance technical, cost, and schedule constraints.

You will provide technical estimates, perform trade studies, and coordinate with contracts, quality, and supplier teams while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience; Master’s +3 years is acceptable.
• Typically 5+ years of related experience in project engineering or management.
• Ability to lead small cross-functional teams and projects.
• Strong technical foundation and risk management expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and implementation of engineering projects within cost and schedule constraints.
• Provide Basis of Estimates support and conduct trade studies.
• Coordinate with contracts, quality, and supply chain teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Bridge Engineering and Program Office to resolve conflicts and align objectives.
