Westinghouse Electric Company in Warrendale, PA, is seeking a Principal Project Engineer to support design and delivery of Distributed Control Systems for greenfield nuclear power plant projects. You will manage one or several technical areas and act as Project Manager, Issue Manager and Technical Leader, reporting to the Control & Information System Engineering manager in a hybrid role.

This role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, AP1000/AP300 experience, willingness

Qualifications

• AP1000 or AP300 experience is helpful.
• Ability to travel internationally as projects require (up to 20%).
• Demonstrated technical expertise in multiple control and instrumentation areas.
• Knowledge of project management principles is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead functional area execution to support plant objectives.
• Manage schedule and cost performance.
• Coordinate with Resource Managers to align resources with project schedules.
• Assess risks and develop practical solutions.
• Troubleshoot technical challenges and develop recovery plans.
• Lead contacts for Functional Area Leads and APx Project Managers.
• Support the Resource Managers, Project Manager and Technical Lead.
