Job summary

Daphne Technology seeks a Lead Project Engineer to drive the successful delivery of customer projects from concept to commissioning, leading mechanical, electrical and system integration efforts.

The role balances project execution with system integration, technical leadership, and customer-facing responsibilities. You will interface with customers, vendors, and Daphne’s engineering teams to balance requirements, performance, manufacturability, cost and schedule throughout the project lifecycle.

Lead Project Engineer

Daphne Technology develops products to measure and reduce methane slip and other harmful emissions in exhaust from gas-powered engines on land and at sea. We are looking for a Lead Project Engineer with experience developing and implementing new technologies for midstream companies. The primary responsibility will be working with a multidisciplinary team to create and deploy Daphne’s core SlipPure™ methane abatement technology at gas pipeline compressors. In addition to standard project management activities, a successful candidate is expected to work with customers and integrate diverse technologies to accelerate product development. Ideal candidates will have experience managing the implementation of new technologies, ideally at midstream companies. A bachelor’s degree in required, preferably in engineering, project management, or a related field.

Role Purpose

The Lead Project Engineer is responsible for the successful execution of customer projects from concept definition through commissioning while leading the overall mechanical, electrical and system integration effort.

The role combines project execution, system integration, technical leadership and customer‑facing responsibilities. A successful candidate will act as the primary interface between customers, vendors, US operations and Daphne’s engineering teams. Furthermore, you will be required to challenge engineering decisions, evaluate alternative concepts, guide multidisciplinary teams and make integration decisions that balance customer requirements, technical performance, manufacturability, operability, cost and schedule throughout the project lifecycle.

Your Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution
  • Develop and maintain project execution plans, schedules, budgets, priorities and resource allocation
  • Project manage a major Federal Grant, ensuring compliance and successful execution
  • Work with customers and vendors to ensure successful project delivery and execution
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans
System Integration
  • Own multidisciplinary integration decisions to ensure alignment between customer requirements, technical solutions and company objectives
  • Lead system‑level trade‑off analyses between performance, cost, manufacturability, operability and schedule
  • Ensure proper integration between mechanical, electrical, process and control systems
  • Manage and identify vendors, ensuring quality, and make DFM suggestions when appropriate
Customer and Stakeholder Management
  • Act as the primary technical interface with customers during project execution
  • Support technical discussions, site reviews and project meetings
  • Translate customer requirements into actionable engineering objectives
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communication
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the oil & gas or midstream industries. Related industries will be considered with additional experience
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering projects from concept through systems integration and commissioning
  • Experience with suppliers, manufacturing and field installations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical decisions and challenge engineering concepts
  • Strong customer-facing and communication skills
Ideal Candidates Will Have

  • Experience managing engineering teams
  • Experience with exhaust treatment, energy or process industries
  • Hands‑on commissioning and troubleshooting experience
