Job summary

Engineers and Constructors International Inc. Gulf Coast is seeking a Project Engineer to lead capital and expense projects at a large-scale chemical manufacturing facility.

You will partner with Operations, Maintenance, and EH&S teams to deliver projects safely and reliably. Reporting to the Project Engineering Manager, you will manage projects from concept through startup, driving cost control, schedules, and technical excellence in a safety-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred.
• 3+ years' experience in a chemical processing or refinery environment.
• Strong commitment to personal safety.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with a broad array of people during a project.
• Knowledge of project management processes and cost/schedule control.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from concept through startup using defined Project Delivery Work Process.
• Define project scope, justify projects, perform economic analysis, build schedules, and drive execution.
• Plan and lead the efforts of the project team through development and execution of projects.
• Obtain funding and manage project approvals with management.
• Open, manage and close projects in SAP; report status regularly.
• Monitor costs and timelines to keep expenditures within approved limits.
• Provide turnaround support, troubleshooting and engineering analysis.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, EH&S teams to execute projects.
