Job summary

CPS, Inc. is seeking a Chemical Engineer/Process Engineer to lead capital projects and continuous improvement efforts in a chemical manufacturing setting.

You will oversee scoping, budgeting, scheduling, and construction activities, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across projects. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of engineering experience in a chemical manufacturing environment and strong knowledge of plant operations, process optimization, and project controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant engineering or project experience.
• Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Organize and execute capital projects from initial concept through commissioning.
• Prepare and submit projects for stage-gate approval.
• Ensure all projects comply with applicable engineering, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate and manage internal resources and contract labor throughout project execution.
• Support project scoping, scheduling, cost evaluation, functionality, and construction activities.

Salary: $90,000 - $120,000, depending on experience level
