Job summary

Team Royal is seeking a Project Engineer to lead Construction Engineering & Inspection (CE&I) services for transportation and public infrastructure projects. You will oversee construction administration, contractor coordination, QA/QC, scheduling, and project delivery for complex municipal programs.

Ideal candidates hold a Florida PE license (or licensure by endorsement), a bachelor’s degree in engineering, and a track record of FDOT or public-sector transportation oversight.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer license in Florida or licensure by endorsement.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Experience with FDOT, municipal, private, or public-sector transportation projects.
• Strong contract administration, change orders, estimates, pay quantities, and construction documentation skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage CE&I activities for roadway, bridge, drainage, utility, and infrastructure construction projects.
• Serve as owner’s representative during construction and lead inspection staff.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, government agencies, utility providers, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Review RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and contract modifications.
• Monitor contractor performance, schedules, budgets, and contractual compliance.
• Perform and oversee field inspections of roadway, bridge, drainage, paving, structures, and utility construction activities.
• Conduct quantity verification, documentation review, daily reports, and project records.
• Monitor progress and payments; oversee sampling and testing of project materials.
• Lead QA/QC efforts throughout project execution and ensure FDOT standards and safety regulations.
