Job summary

Eversource seeks a seasoned Lead, Regional Project Controls to guide the Planning & Scheduling Team across Transmission and Engineering projects. You will lead baseline development, monitor performance, and drive risk-based forecasting to keep capital programs on track.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in project controls, mastery of Primavera P6, Maximo, Ariba, and Power BI, plus PMP and Primavera certifications. Willingness to travel in MA/CT/NH and engage in emergency assignments is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent degree or experience
  • PMP and Primavera P6 certifications are desirable
  • Experience with project controls, scheduling, and cost analysis

Responsibilities

  • Lead the regional Project Controls Planning & Scheduling Team
  • Provide project controls, planning, and scheduling services to Transmission and Engineering organizations
  • Direct development of baseline schedules and controls for capital program projects from authorization through close-out
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, safely, and in line with performance targets while minimizing risk and exposure
  • Track and report monthly project performance against baseline schedule milestones
  • Analyze schedule network logic, critical paths, schedule risks, and forecasts
  • Produce complex reports, analyses, specialized cost reports, performance tools, metrics, and dashboards
  • Streamline and oversee the use of Primavera scheduling processes across Transmission and Engineering organizations
  • Assign work, provide coaching and training, resolve problems, and evaluate team performance
  • Develop and maintain accurate project schedules with Transmission and Engineering leaders and stakeholders
  • Coordinate vendor schedule status and performance for external engineering and construction vendors
  • Ensure schedules are agreed upon and approved before baselines are set
  • Monitor schedule variances, support change control, and validate revised project baselines
  • Review engineering performance, trends, and impacts on project schedules
  • Oversee EOC and COC vendor schedule and cost-reporting performance
  • Coordinate vendor schedule disputes, contract change requests, claims, and stakeholder reviews
  • Monitor, close out, and archive schedules, including actual-versus-baseline analysis
  • Ensure compliance with corporate procedures and regulatory requirements and develop corrective action plans
  • Travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire as necessary
  • Participate in emergency restoration assignments outside normal responsibilities, hours, and location when required

Job description

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent degree or experience desired
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of related experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience supervising and/or leading dynamic and cross functional teams supporting project execution, process improvements and group facilitation
  • Understanding of project management theories and methodologies
  • Knowledge of scheduling modeling, risk management, and project information systems
  • Ability to monitor and analyze cost and scheduling information, provide forecasts, oversee performance tools, make recommendations, and communicate effectively at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to influence group culture
  • Experience using and managing the use of Maximo, P6, Ariba, eBuilder, Power BI and Excel
  • Demonstrated experience as an Oracle Primavera P6 advanced user, administrator, and trainer preferred
  • Experience in Electrical Transmission and Distribution planning and scheduling preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) desirable
  • Oracle Primavera P6 certification desirable
  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignments as required
  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary
