Job summary

Louisville Gas and Electric Company and Kentucky Utilities Company are seeking a Project and Contract Manager to lead a $500M portfolio of capital projects across transmission lines and substations. You will own end-to-end project management, from planning through turnover to operations, coordinating with management, controls, and contractors.

The role requires leadership, proactive risk management, and the ability to influence diverse stakeholders across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years experience with project management, contract management, and/or construction management responsibilities.
• Experience in project budgeting, project cost control, project scheduling, and project reporting.

Responsibilities

• Plans and ensures the successful management of assigned project portfolio using PMO resources and teams.
• Ensures contractor services meet quality and are delivered on time to support contract terms.
• Oversees contractor performance and output, including direct oversight for contracted project managers.
• Resolves contractor issues and change orders, analyzes claims and disputes, and negotiates resolutions with management.
• Maintains communication with senior leadership on portfolio status, budget, and resource planning.
• Develops and maintains project plans including scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk management.
