Job summary

OpenLoop Health, Inc. is seeking a Lead Program Manager to own the strategy and roadmap for our Medical Weight Loss program. You will align Clinical, Product, Engineering, Pharmacy, RCM, Implementation, Marketing, and Client Success behind a single program direction.

You will defend the plan to the executive team, drive operational rigor, and own client outcomes, ensuring clinical integrity and compliance across initiatives in a fast-moving telehealth environment.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years owning programs, products, or operating units in healthcare, digital health, health tech, or closely adjacent fields.
• At least 3 years setting strategy and owning a roadmap end-to-end.
• Direct experience with medical weight loss or closely adjacent care models with fluency in GLP-1 therapies, eligibility criteria, formulary dynamics, and regulatory landscape.
• Track record of strategy ownership, not just execution.
• Demonstrated cross-functional leadership.
• Strong commercial and analytical instincts.
• Exceptional written communication.
• Built structure in fast-moving environments while maintaining documentation, protocols, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own the multi-quarter roadmap for Medical Weight Loss, define metrics, bets, sequencing, and defend it to the executive team.
• Close the deliverable-to-goal gap by verifying that what’s built matches the plan and escalating or re-scoping when it doesn’t.
• Translate company OKRs into program-level targets for clinical quality, patient outcomes, client retention, unit economics, and growth velocity.
• Decide build/partner/integrate calls with data, scenarios, and recommendations.
• Lead without authority by aligning Clinical, Product, Engineering, Pharmacy, RCM, Implementation, Marketing, and Client Success.
• Own the program narrative for senior leadership and translate complex dynamics into clear decisions.
• Guide Program Managers and adapt the team structure as the portfolio matures.
• Own client outcomes and serve as the escalation point for major questions and commitments.
• Synthesize client feedback, regulatory changes, and competitor moves to inform roadmap decisions.
• Drive program-level commercial outcomes with cross-functional partners to ensure sellability and retention.

About the Role

OpenLoop is hiring a Lead Program Manager to own the strategy and roadmap for our Medical Weight Loss program. This is not a coordinator role - you are the single accountable owner of whether Medical Weight Loss delivers against the goals we've set for it. The roadmap is yours to define, defend, and ship.

Medical Weight Loss is one of OpenLoop's most strategically important and operationally complex programs. The category is moving fast - clinical guidelines, formulary dynamics, regulatory posture, and client expectations are all shifting quarter to quarter. Your job is to set a roadmap that wins commercially while holding an unimpeachable line on clinical integrity and compliance.

You’ll set the program's direction, align Clinical, Product, Engineering, Pharmacy, RCM, Implementation, Marketing, and Client Success behind it, and answer to the executive team for outcomes. Manager of Programs and Sr. Program Manager teammates execute against the plan you build; your job is making sure the plan is the right one and that what gets shipped matches what was committed.

This role is scoped to a single program today. As OpenLoop’s program portfolio and operating model mature, Lead Program Managers may expand to own multiple programs or a full program vertical.

What You'll Do

• Own the strategy. Define the multi-quarter roadmap for Medical Weight Loss, including the metrics that matter, the bets we're making, and the sequencing that gets us there. Defend it to the executive team and adjust it as the market and our data demand.
• Close the deliverable-to-goal gap. Continuously verify that what's being built matches the strategic plan — and when it doesn't, you're the one who escalates, re-scopes, or re-aligns. The gap between roadmap and reality is your accountability.
• Set the operating goals. Translate company-level OKRs into program-level targets — clinical quality, patient outcomes, client retention, unit economics, growth velocity. Pick the right metrics; defend them against vanity alternatives.
• Make build/buy/partner calls. Decide where we build, where we integrate, and where we partner. Bring data, scenarios, and a recommendation — not just options.
• Lead without authority. Align Clinical, Product, Engineering, Pharmacy, RCM, Implementation, Marketing, and Client Success behind a single program direction.
• Own the program narrative for senior leadership. Run the program review and translate complex operational and clinical dynamics into clear decisions and tradeoffs.
• Guide Program Managers. You will guide and prioritize the work of Program Managers supporting the program. Direct reporting structure and team composition may evolve as the program and broader portfolio scale.
• Own client outcomes for the program. Be the executive escalation point for major client questions and program-level commitments.
• Translate client and market signal. Synthesize what we hear from clients, what the regulatory environment is doing, and what competitors are shipping into roadmap decisions.
• Drive program-level commercial outcomes. Partner with Commercial and Client Success to make sure the program is sellable, expandable, and retainable - not just operational.

Who You Are

In a healthcare environment, program decisions carry compliance consequences — you treat documentation, escalation pathways, and audit-readiness as core program deliverables, not afterthoughts.
