Job summary

Discord is seeking a Program Manager for Detection & Enforcement, Youth Safety, to drive product and process improvements across the minor safety remit. You will act as SME across product, detection, tooling, and bugs, coordinating with cross-functional teams to mitigate harms for youth online.

The role involves exposure to disturbing content; wellness support is provided. You will report to the Senior Manager of Youth Safety and help shape policy, tooling, and incident response at scale.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of child sexual exploitation investigation, detection, and reporting obligations.
• Intermediate SQL proficiency and technical skills.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Program management experience establishing and driving operational projects at scale.
• Ability to build relationships, influence, and collaborate across organizational levels.
• Experience strengthening organizational capacity and stakeholder partnerships.
• Experience analyzing high-impact threats and online threat actors.
• Leadership in developing and advocating teen & child safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Drive safety product and process improvements across youth safety initiatives.
• Own the proactive detection roadmap; develop ML tooling and heuristic models for content and behavior detection.
• Coordinate with Product Operations, Vendor Operations, Data Engineering, Threat Research, and Policy teams.
• Audit operations and reporting to identify gaps and drive continuous improvement in detection, moderation, and tooling.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with Engineering to support product launches and roadmaps.
• Support and guide safety efforts to ensure trauma-informed, responsible services for youth.
