Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of progressive experience in organizational change, transformation, operational excellence, program delivery, or a related field within matrix organizations.
  • Experience working directly with frontline employees, supervisors, managers, and operational leaders in field-based or operational environments.
  • Strong stakeholder-management, facilitation, coaching, and communication skills, with the ability to influence outcomes across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to use data and reporting to assess adoption, identify risks or gaps, and recommend actions that improve change outcomes.
  • Experience with creating practical adoption and reinforcement materials, including training support resources, job aids and leader toolkits.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly and maintain a meaningful on-site presence across NY and MA operating locations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute change management plans for transformational, productivity, and continuous-improvement initiatives across NY and MA Gas.
  • Partner with program teams and operational leaders to assess how changes will affect roles, workflows, decision-making, handoffs, operating routines, and day-to-day work; identify adoption risks and develop strategies that support successful implementation and sustainment.
  • Translate program and productivity objectives into the specific behaviors, capabilities, leadership practices, operating routines, and ways of working required to achieve lasting results.
  • Conduct stakeholder assessments, change readiness assessments, and impact analyses to inform change planning and decision-making.
  • Maintain a regular presence at operating locations to understand how change is experienced by frontline employees, supervisors, managers, and operational leaders, and use those insights to improve adoption approaches.
  • Coach supervisors, managers, and project leaders on leading teams through change, addressing resistance, and reinforcing new behaviors.
  • Support stakeholder engagement activities, communications, leadership alignment, and change interventions across impacted organizations.
  • Develop practical change management tools and resources, including readiness assessments, job aids, conversation guides, reinforcement plans, and stakeholder engagement materials.
  • Track adoption of new systems, process improvements, productivity practices, behavior change, readiness, and sustainability measures to identify risks, evaluate progress, and recommend corrective actions.

Job Purpose

The Lead Program Manager, Change Management, is responsible for developing and executing change management strategies for large-scale Gas operations initiatives across NY and MA. This role helps ensure new systems, changing technologies, process improvements, productivity initiatives and new ways of working are successfully adopted, sustained beyond implementation, and translated into measurable changes in behavior, leadership practices, operating routines, and business performance.

The Lead Program Manager will work directly with frontline employees, supervisors, managers, operational leaders, program teams, and support functions to assess change readiness, identify adoption risks, support leaders through change, and implement practical interventions that help embed new ways of working into day-to-day operations.

The successful candidate will be a strong practitioner who can build relationships, influence stakeholders, solve adoption challenges, and help sustain change in a matrix operational environment.

Key Accountabilities

Preferred Qualifications

More Information

$126,000 - $152,000 a year
