Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a research-focused professional to advance implementation science in healthcare. You will prepare and present research results for professional organizations and scholarly publications, and help advance the field.

You will collect and analyze complex data, conduct studies and interviews, and document results while liaising with stakeholders and supervising research staff. Strong writing and IRB/compliance experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in clinical research settings with methods and theory relevant to implementation science and healthcare delivery improvement.
• Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research design, data collection, and analysis.
• Experience designing and conducting program evaluations, including logic models, systems design, and workflow assessments.
• Experience maintaining research confidentiality per IRB and regulatory standards.
• Strong scientific writing with publications, presentations, and grant writing.
• Proficiency with reference management tools such as EndNote and MS Office.

• Consult others on appropriate implementation theory, methods, and strategies.

• Serve as an institutional subject matter expert and liaison with key internal and external stakeholders, providing expert-level information and representing the interests of a specialized research area.
• Identify research problems and develop highly complex research methodologies and procedures.
• Publish and present results to help advance research.
• Supervise the day-to-day activities of a research unit and staff, and resolve routine personnel issues.
• Identify, write, or assist in developing grant opportunities, grant applications, and proposals to secure research funding.
• Attend and assist with the facilitation of scholarly events and presentations in support of continued professional development and the dissemination of research information.
• Conduct literature reviews, prepare reports and materials, and disseminate information to appropriate entities.

Requirements

• Experience working in clinical research settings, with strong knowledge of scientific methods and research theory relevant to implementation science and healthcare delivery improvement (e.g. clinical practice guidelines, quality improvement metrics).
• Demonstrated expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research design, data collection, and analysis.
• Experience designing and conducting program evaluations, including use of logic models, systems design, and workflow/process assessments to identify gaps and improve outcomes.
• Experience maintaining research confidentiality in compliance with IRB and regulatory standards.
• Strong scientific writing skills with a track record of publications, presentations, and grant writing.
• Proficiency with MS Office and reference management tools (e.g., EndNote).
