Job summary

Impact Justice is seeking a Program Director for The Menopause Project to lead expansion, partnerships, and fundraising efforts across California and other states. You will manage deliverables, budgets, and strategic growth while guiding a diverse team and engaging with external stakeholders.

You will report to the VP of Innovation Programs, supervise one Senior Program Manager, and travel as needed. A strong background in public health and social justice is essential.

Qualifications

• Background in public health, women's health, healthcare or work with incarcerated populations or marginalized groups.
• Strong commitment to social and racial justice and to ending criminalization of marginalized communities.
• Ability to translate complex information for diverse audiences including policymakers, providers, and impacted populations.
• Experience leading programs and teams in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.

Responsibilities

• Strategize, manage, build out, and implement Menopause Project expansion.
• Guide program delivery, budgets, and best practices; navigate challenges and assess needs.
• Maintain and grow partnerships with CDCR, other corrections departments, policymakers, non-profit and for-profit partners, and healthcare providers.
• Lead external fundraising efforts and represent the program in public speaking, media, and events.
• Develop and run Advisory Board strategy and communications; schedule biannual meetings and keep members informed.
• Engage in fundraising by cultivating funders and supporting proposals and reporting.
• Build and lead a growing team; manage Senior Program Manager and collaborate with partners.
• Collaborate with Impact Justice leadership across the organization and community partners.
• Oversee supervision, staffing needs, and coordination with external consultants; travel as needed (approx. 10%).
