Job summary

Parrish Medical Center in Titusville, FL, is seeking a supervisor for the Coding section of professional fee coding operations within the Health Information Management department. You will oversee coding, quality reviews, and act as the liaison between medical staff and ancillary departments for documentation and assignment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in health information or related field, CCS/CPC or equivalent, and 3+ years of professional fee coding experience (RHIA/RHIT

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in health information or related field required.
• CCS, CPC or equivalent coding certification required; RHIA or RHIT strongly preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of professional fee coding experience, with emphasis on E/M coding.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and manages the coding workflow for professional fee coding operations.
• Conducts coding quality studies and ensures accuracy in documentation and assignment.
• Educates medical staff and departments on coding standards and guidelines.
• Maintains knowledge of coding documentation requirements and CMS guidelines.
• Develops and maintains coding policies and procedures; communicates CMS updates.
• Reviews incomplete abstracts and AHCA reporting; prepares training materials.
• Leads special projects to improve coding operations and supports organizational goals.
