Job summary

The State of Nevada seeks a Professional Engineer in Carson City to lead roadway design projects within the Roadway Design Division. The incumbent will specialize in geometric design, 3D CADD modeling, and oversight of consultant-designed projects, while guiding team members in new roadway design methods and tools such as MicroStation and InRoads.

Qualifications

• Current Licensure as a Professional Engineer (P.E.).
• Ability to lead and train staff in roadway design methods.
• Strong technical review and project administration skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, schedule and oversee program/project activities with other sections and agencies.
• Prepare reports, letters, memos, agreements and forms; review for accuracy and compliance.
• Compile and present complex engineering information to management and in briefings.
• Attend public meetings and hearings to provide technical expertise.
• Write, review and secure agreements with consultants/contractors; coordinate activities as required.
• Perform professional engineering functions requiring judgment in analysis of complex data.
