Job summary

Indium Corporation in Clinton, NY is seeking a Production Supervisor responsible for accurate and timely completion of job orders and for mentoring, training, and evaluating a team of operators who safely perform manual duties to produce quality product for timely distribution to customers.

The role emphasizes planning and scheduling with cross‑department collaboration, enforcing safety rules, maintaining records and KPI data, applying Lean principles to eliminate waste, and ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 2 years related work experience or prior experience as a Production Group Leader
• Associates degree preferred
• Possess and demonstrate positive mentoring and leadership qualities
• Knowledge of planning, scheduling, inventory management, workflow, and basic lean concepts
• Demonstrated organizational skills
• Computer skills required
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Basic math skills
• Provide own transportation for local travel between facilities

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule activities within the supervision area in collaboration with other departments
• Direct the activities and formally evaluate the performance of a team of operators
• Maintain knowledge of processes within supervision and coordinate resources to meet timelines and quality requirements
• Ensure safety compliance and stop production if safety is compromised
• Interact with colleagues, suppliers, customers, and auditors
• Maintain documentation and track work, scrap, and inventory records
• Apply Lean principles and promote continuous improvement
• Hire, promote, discipline, transfer, and terminate operators
• Assess operator abilities and maintain training records
• Uphold company policies and resolve conflicts
• Review and approve time management records
• Develop and maintain operational data spreadsheets and KPI reporting
• Uphold Quality Management System standards
• Attend training as needed
• Perform other duties and projects
