Job summary

RHI Magnesita N.V. is seeking a Production Supervisor for our Greensboro, NC manufacturing facility. You will lead production operations, develop high-performing teams, optimize plant performance, and champion safety, quality, and efficiency.

Collaborate with cross-functional partners to drive continuous improvement and support strategic and financial objectives. You’ll oversee scheduling, KPI communication, and daily cost center reviews while coaching supervisors and hourly staff.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience with 1–2 years in upper-level supervision.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, equipment, processes, and financial controls.
• Proven leadership to motivate, develop and engage teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with QAD, MRP systems or SAP preferred.
• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience in refractories, ceramics or related industrial manufacturing is a plus.
• Ability to work both office-based and on the plant floor.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, cost-effective manufacturing operations across production, shipping, maintenance, quality assurance, and supporting functions.
• Manage production scheduling and ensure operational goals are met while communicating KPIs to leadership.
• Monitor daily reports to evaluate cost center performance, scrap rates, overtime, material use, and productivity.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and OSHA regulations, fostering workplace safety.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Sales, Corporate, and other stakeholders to address customer needs.
• Partner with Maintenance to prioritize repairs, preventive maintenance, and reliability improvements.
• Coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and hourly team members through training and performance management.
• Lead Lean and CI efforts to drive performance and efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, equipment utilization, and resource effectiveness.
• Drive accountability for quality, productivity, cost control, and excellence across the facility.
