Job summary

Hutchinson in Livingston, TN is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a dynamic manufacturing team focused on safety, quality, productivity and customer satisfaction. You will oversee daily production activities, supervise staff, coordinate schedules, and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires strong leadership, experience in fabricated metals, knowledge of lean principles, and collaboration with Engineering on new product launches.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent technical training preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience in a fabricated metals environment preferred.
• At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of blueprint reading, SPC, lean manufacturing principles, and employee relations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily production operations to meet safety, quality, and delivery targets.
• Coordinate staffing, production schedules, and workflow to maximize efficiency.
• Train, coach, and develop production employees for growth and success.
• Partner with Engineering to support new product launches and process improvements.
• Monitor productivity, scrap, rework, and safety performance while implementing improvement plans.
• Assign work orders and ensure proper staffing and equipment utilization.
• Ensure compliance with customer quality requirements and company operating systems.
• Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
