Knape & Vogt Manufacturing Company in Grand Rapids is seeking a Production Operator III Lead for low volume slides. You will oversee operations, ensure quality and safety, and mentor junior operators across multiple areas.

The role emphasizes Kaizen participation, data accuracy, and collaboration with Planning, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering. Ideal candidates have 3 years in manufacturing, a high school diploma, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle).
• Highly analytical with troubleshooting skills and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple areas with competency and willingness.
• Train Production Operator I–II and transfers.
• Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure accurate data collection.
• Communicate with Planning, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and Supervision.
• Resolve machine errors and perform advanced functions.
