Job summary

Sika Corporation in Greer, SC is seeking a dynamic Lead Production Operator to manage daily production at the insulation line. You will operate equipment, coordinate shift activities, and uphold safety, quality, and 5S standards while supporting the supervisor.

The role emphasizes teamwork and continuous improvement; you will train operators, monitor schedules, enforce procedures, and drive efficient changeovers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to organize and plan.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned production station and all manufacturing equipment daily, serving as backup to supervisor as needed.
• Lead and coordinate daily production activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets while maintaining shop 5S standards.
• Monitor production schedules and verify output meets established quality standards and customer requirements.
• Assist in equipment setup, changeovers, startup, and shutdown procedures.
• Enforce company safety policies and ensure compliance with quality specifications and work instructions.
• Investigate quality concerns and process deviations; support root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
• Provide direction and training to production operators and material handlers on equipment operation, standard work procedures, and safety requirements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for shift-related production issues and promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the department.
