Job summary

Polyethylene Containers, Inc. seeks an experienced Production Manager / Process Engineer to lead our high-volume thin-wall packaging plant, combining hands-on process engineering with production leadership to ensure safe, efficient operations.

The role focuses on optimizing injection molding, driving continuous improvement, mentoring supervisors and operators, and collaborating with maintenance, quality, planning, and supply chain to meet safety, quality, delivery and cost goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field required.
• 5+ years of thin-wall injection molding experience in manufacturing.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize molding processes.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Optimize thin-wall injection molding to maximize productivity and OEE.
• Troubleshoot molding, tooling, material, and equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Supervise, coach, and develop production supervisors, technicians, and operators.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, waste reduction and excellence.
• Establish and maintain process standards, setup docs, and work instructions.
• Analyze production data and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
• Support mold trials, new product launches, and process validation.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Planning, and Supply Chain teams to achieve goals.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
