Job summary

Columbia Basin Ice LLC in Kennewick, WA, seeks a reliable Production and Maintenance Technician to join the team on the production floor while training in maintenance and technical skills. You will lead daily operations, learn equipment, and support safety, quality, and 5S standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing/production environments preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude with basic electrical/mechanical systems knowledge.
• Leadership or team-leading experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and stay organized in a fast-paced setting.
• Welding or vinyl-wrapping experience is desirable but not required.
• Familiarity with CMMS or maintenance tracking systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support daily production operations, operating ice manufacturing equipment and packaging.
• Train and coach production team members while upholding food safety and 5S standards.
• Perform hands-on production work daily to understand processes and team needs.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on equipment and systems.
• Assist Maintenance Technician to learn equipment, vehicles, and processes.
• Maintain and clean company vehicles, production machinery, and ice storage equipment.
• Apply vinyl wraps to merchandisers and assist with equipment modifications.
• Keep areas clean, organized, and safe; use CMMS to log work.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Manager and leadership to minimize downtime.
• Follow safety protocols and company policies.
