Job summary

Devon Energy is seeking a Production Engineering Supervisor to lead a team delivering advanced data analytics and predictive maintenance for the Delaware Basin. The role focuses on optimizing operations, reducing downtime, and improving asset performance through data-driven strategies.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in oil and gas, a bachelor’s degree in engineering, and strong project management and leadership abilities to guide cross-functional teams in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (petroleum, chemical, mechanical, or civil).
  • 7+ years of related Oil & Gas experience.
  • Strong project management and leadership capabilities.
  • Experience analyzing large datasets and applying predictive analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team to advance data analytics and ML techniques to manage large data sets and reduce downtime.
  • Mentor and lead engineers and technicians, focusing on development and teamwork.
  • Prioritize and monitor projects to enhance production and efficiency.
  • Liaise between field teams and engineering to ensure understanding of roadmaps and plans.
  • Promote best practices, safety, and regulatory compliance across units.
  • Contribute to annual budgets aligned with asset integrity and reliability goals.
  • Build positive relationships with field personnel, asset teams, service companies, and regulators.
