Job summary

ACMT INC in Manchester, CT seeks a production operator responsible for the production and quality of assigned advanced operation. You will train and support new production associates.

You will read blueprints, interpret work instructions, operate shop floor equipment, ensure parts meet quality standards, complete paperwork and ERP entries. The role supports CI/Lean initiatives, mentors juniors, and cross-trains while maintaining a clean work area.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write English.
• Proficiency with shop math.
• Working knowledge of measuring equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints as required.
• Basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of Lean principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform production operations according to established methods and will handle more advanced tasks (e.g., drilling, countersinking).
• Interpret blueprints and diagrams to perform production tasks.
• Operate production equipment across shop floor areas.
• Ensure part finish quality meets requirements.
• Complete production-related paperwork and ERP signoffs; document part counts.
• Participate in CI and Lean-related activities.
• Provide guidance to junior team members.
• Cross-train and act as backup in other areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
