Job summary

ACMT INC in Manchester, CT seeks a production operator responsible for the production and quality of assigned advanced operation. You will train and support new production associates.

You will read blueprints, interpret work instructions, operate shop floor equipment, ensure parts meet quality standards, complete paperwork and ERP entries. The role supports CI/Lean initiatives, mentors juniors, and cross-trains while maintaining a clean work area.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write English.
• Proficiency with shop math.
• Working knowledge of measuring equipment.

• Basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of Lean principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Complete production-related paperwork and ERP signoffs; document part counts.
• Participate in CI and Lean-related activities.
• Provide guidance to junior team members.
• Cross-train and act as backup in other areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area.

• Perform production operations according to established methods. Typically, will perform more advanced operations for example drilling or countersinking.
• Interpret blueprints and/or other diagrams and work instructions to perform production tasks.
• Operate production equipment in a variety of areas on the shop floor.
• Ensure part finish quality is to requirements.
• Complete production-related paperwork, signoffs as required. Document part counts in ERP system.
• Participate in CI and Lean-related activities.
• Provide guidance to junior members of the team.
• Cross train and act as backup in other production areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area.

QualificationsTypical Educational/Experience Requirements:
