Job summary

NORDAM is seeking a Lead Production to supervise and coordinate activities across a production team in our Oklahoma facility. The role focuses on implementing policies and driving continuous quality improvement in alignment with organizational goals.

The Lead Production will oversee schedules, assign duties, and provide technical direction while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. This position requires strong leadership, 5+ years of related experience, and the ability to motivate teams

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a lead/ supervision role in manufacturing.
• Experience directing and training staff to meet production goals.
• Strong knowledge of safety, quality, and internal procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate activities of 3–20 stakeholders in production and maintenance.
• Interpret schedules, assign duties, and optimize workflows to meet contracts.
• Provide technical direction and support to teams; drive continuous improvement.
• Enforce safety rules, attendance, and conduct policies across the area.
• Troubleshoot issues, resolve problems, and communicate with other supervisors.
• Maintain production records and motivate stakeholders to achieve goals.

Job Title: LEAD PRODUCTION

Job Summary

Supervises and coordinates activities of assigned personnel and implements and administers policies and procedures as delegated by management. Develops and provides leadership to customer-focused production teams to institutionalize the processes of Continuous Quality Improvement in accordance with organization goals and objectives.

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities

• Studies production schedules and estimates Stakeholder hour requirements for completion of job assignment. Oversees department activities and revises work assignments to meet schedules and contract priorities. Coordinates activities and provides technical direction to personnel.
• Interprets company policies to Stakeholders and enforces regulations relating to safety, attendance, conduct, and other plant rules. Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to Stakeholders, and assigns duties. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production or processing schedules.
• Recommends measures to improve production or processing methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Provides guidance to teams on development, performance and productivity issues.
• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew. Monitors and expedites flow of materials within production area.
• Receives and answers questions from Stakeholders pertaining to area processes or equipment operation. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists Stakeholders in solving work problems. Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
• Maintains time and production or processing records. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate Stakeholders to achieve work goals. Notifies maintenance Stakeholders of equipment malfunctions.

Performs other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications and departments other than the primary assignment.

Minimum Qualifications

Education Requirements

Minimum High School or GED.

If applicable, a combination of experience and training may be substituted for the education requirement.

Experience Requirements

5 year(s) Performing the type of work in the discipline of the work group where they will perform the duties of a Lead.

1 year(s) of the required 5 years experience in training, assigning and reviewing the work of lesser skilled stakeholders or have formal leadership assignments from another organization.

Skills and Competencies

• Performs all work operations of the area over which leadership is exercised.
• The following statement is only applicable if the job function will also be performed under the division’s repair station certificate. To obtain a Repairman’s Certification the person must understand, read, and write English and have either:
• At least 18 months of practical experience in the procedures, practices, inspection methods, materials, tools, machine tools, and equipment generally used in the maintenance duties of the specific job for which the person is to be employed and certified; or
• Completed formal training that is acceptable to the Administrator and is specifically designed to qualify the applicant for the job on which the applicant is to be employed.
• Must be proficient in the processes and procedures for the area over which supervision is exercised.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to work in excess of eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week, if required. Additionally, those who work at NORDAM Repair Division must be able to ascend and descend stairs.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the Stakeholder is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment can vary from loud to a more moderate level.

• Leads from 3 to 20 Production and Maintenance Stakeholders.
