Job summary

Meta is seeking a Security Engineer Team Lead to provide technical leadership across web and AI security spaces. You will shape strategy, build tooling, and deliver secure-by-design product functionality for Meta’s agentic products and family of apps.

You will author and review code in multiple languages, guide cross-functional teams, and own end-to-end security system components, driving measurable improvements in security maturity at scale.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building and securing enterprise-scale infrastructure software/services.
• 8+ years authoring code in Python, PHP, Java, Ruby, Go, Rust, C/C++ (or similar).
• Experience fixing infrastructure security problems across broad corporate boundaries using influence and relationships.
• Experience designing, analyzing, and improving distributed systems and conducting threat model assessments.

Responsibilities

• Author code and conduct code reviews in Python, PHP, Java, Ruby, Go, Rust, C/C++ (or similar).
• Influence and align security strategy with multi-year roadmaps and programs.
• Design and develop scalable security products, systems, and frameworks for large-scale use.
• Identify security maturity gaps and lead end-to-end improvements at scale.
