Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a Lead Product Quality Chemist to optimize laboratory operations and drive continuous quality improvements across North American production plants. You will lead advanced analytical testing, support manufacturing scale-up, manage QC procedures, conduct RCA investigations, and collaborate across Supply Chain, Technology, and EHS with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field with lab or work experience.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in process, analytical (lab), or quality chemistry.
• Experience with analytical instrumentation, wet chemistry, and sample preparation.
• Knowledge and experience in industrial chemical manufacturing processes.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage and drive multiple projects in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership & Laboratory Operations: Oversee laboratory operations and advanced analytical testing (e.g., ICP, spectrophotometers, titrations).
• Manufacturing Support & Process Optimization: Provide direct technical and chemical process support to North American production plants, including batch troubleshooting and product scale-up.
• Quality Assurance & Compliance: Manage and update QC procedures and material specifications, ensuring ISO and regulatory compliance.
• Quality Incident Management & Problem Solving: Lead quality incident investigations and conduct RCA to resolve issues.
• Strategic Initiatives & Digital Integration: Leverage SAP and data analytics to monitor trends and drive cost-savings and operational excellence.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build relationships with Supply Chain, Technology, Manufacturing, EHS, and Commercial teams.
• Professional Development & Field Support: Travel to NORAM sites for process scale-up and training (10% travel).
