Arconic Corporation in Alcoa, TN is seeking a Lead Product Metallurgical Engineer to lead quality and product specifications across Tennessee Operations. You will oversee the Product Metallurgical Engineering team, coordinate with Sales, Applications and Field Service, and drive corrective actions with Process Managers to ensure robust product quality.

Required: Bachelor's in a related field and 8 years in metals; supervisory experience preferred. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Material Science, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or related field.
8 years of experience in the metals industry.
Business experience with suppliers or customers.
Experience in Quality Control systems.
Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

Coach and train reports on product requirements and customer specifications.
Ensure adherence to values, policies, and behaviors.
Establish performance goals aligned with objectives.
Interface with Sales, Applications, and Field Service as single point of accountability.
Determine root causes and corrective actions with Process Managers.
Maintain control of critical product characteristics.
Support Safety and waste elimination objectives.
Maintain QFD, CP, and FMEA linkage to customer needs.
Drive projects for technical changes and new opportunities.
Mentor metallurgists and team members.
